Author Nathan Bransford posted a challenge on his blog: List your 100 favorite movies of all time. Challenge is the appropriate word here. How can a movie lover narrow it down to 100?
This is actually something my husband and I do every four or five years. We’ve even gotten our girls to get in on the action—although their lists don’t reach 100 just yet. (Their top picks: Super 8 and Clue.) The lists change every time we do them. Movies are added or deleted; some move up or down the list. It’s always a challenge. Always fun.
What are your favorites? How many do we share? Leave me a comment and let me know.

Wow! 100 is just an amazing effort. We do this too but try to keep it to our favorite top 10 and that’s hard enough. I admit I skipped down to see your #1 and was surprised. We are all different! My top 5 are:, Silverado, Victor Victoria, Sound of Music, Love Actually and Notting Hill. The next 5 are always in flux.
Love the blog!
Silverado! Love that one. That was when I first had a crush on a young (ish) Kevin Costner. Everyday I could think of a new movie to add to the list…
